HCMC plans to vaccinate 7.2 million people aged over 18 this year

Ho Chi Minh City plans to have 7.2 million people aged over 18 vaccinated against the novel coronavirus by the end of the year. According to a vaccination plan issued by HCMC People’s Committee, HCMC needs an extra 8.1 million vaccine doses to inoculate all adults, with  priorities given to the elderly, people with diseases, pregnant women, breast feeding mothers, frontline forces, and others.

The inoculation program will be divided in three phases from August 29 to December 31, 2021.
