Long An continues to be one of the top 10 provinces and cities in attracting FDI

 

According to a report from Long An Provincial People’s Committee, in the 9 months of 2022, Long An attracted foreign investment (FDI) with 43 projects, with a registered capital of over 307 million USD, an increase of 2 projects over the same period last year. In addition to newly granted capital, the province has 55 FDI projects with capital increase of 274.1 million USD. Total new and additional capital of FDI enterprises in the province reached over 581 million USD. With this new and additional capital, Long An continues to be one of the top 10 provinces and cities in attracting FDI.

Up to now, the province has 1,152 FDI projects with a capital of 9,963 billion USD; of which 588 projects have been put into operation with total investment capital of 3,624 billion USD. In the field of attracting domestic investment, in 9 months, Long An established 1,275 new enterprises, up 26 percent over the same period with a total registered capital of 17,543 billion VND. Up to now, the province has 14,924 businesses registered to operate with a total registered capital of 360,266 billion VND.

In addition, the province also granted 77 new domestic investment projects, with a total newly registered capital of 19,556 billion VND. There are 2,178 projects in the province with a registered capital of 220,439 billion VND.

Currently, the province continues to implement solutions to improve the provincial competitiveness index (PCI); focus on implementing the tasks of investment promotion. Dialogue activities with businesses in the province are also carried out regularly, thereby promptly removing difficulties and obstacles for businesses. In particular, the provincial leaders have just organized an investment promotion mission in Korea, Japan, and Australia; received many working delegations from India, Germany, Korea, etc. to learn about investment opportunities in the province.
