National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on Wednesday suggested that the State Audit agencies of Vietnam and Laos maintain the cooperation mechanism between the three State Audit agencies of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, strengthen close cooperation between such organizations as the ASEAN Supreme Audit Institutions (ASEANSAI), Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) and the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI).

Chairman Hue on Wednesday met Viengthavisone Thephachanh, Lao State Auditor General, who thanked countries, including Vietnam, for helping Laos partly solve difficulties and gradually improve people’s lives affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said he would propose to the Lao National Assembly to amend the Law on State Audit and develop regulations for the State Audit of Laos to operate more effectively.
