National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue on Friday attended the opening ceremony of the 2021-2022 school year and expressed his gratitude to teachers at Hanoi Medical University on the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, November 20. Addressing the meeting, Chairman Hue praised the silent contributions and sacrifices of the medical staff, teachers and students of the Hanoi Medical University, who have defied danger, risked their own health and life, and gone to the COVID-19 pandemic epicenter to protect the people’s health and life.

“The university’s cadres and staff always follow President Ho Chi Minh’s teaching “A doctor must be like a mother”, joining hands to build an advanced medicine for the actual needs of the people and contributing to the successful implementation of the cause of fundamental and comprehensive renovation of education and training in Vietnam. Following the guidelines of the Party, the National Assembly and Government has been fine-tuning legal system and policies to create the most favorable conditions for the rapid and sustainable development of education, training and people’s health,” Mr. Hue said.

Although the COVID-19 pandemic is forecast to be complicated and unpredictable, National Assembly Chairman Hue believes that with joint effort and consensus of the whole nation and the iron will and valuable experiences of medical team, Vietnam will soon completely control the pandemic, protect the people’s health, and recover and develop the economy.
