–  Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong left Hanoi on Sunday morning for an official visit to China. The visit is made at the invitation by  Chinese Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping.

The leader was seen off at the airport by President Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, and other Party and State leading officials.

The Party leader’s visit made after the conclusion of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China is a special external relation event for both Vietnam and China. The visit attracts great attention from the two countries’ peoples and the international community.

It demonstrates the respect of the Communist Party of China and Party General Secretary and President Xi Jinping for Vietnam and Party leader Nguyen Phu Trong.
