Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on Friday informed voters of Ba Dinh, Dong Da and Hai Ba Trung districts in Hanoi of the outcomes of the National Assembly’s year-end session. During the online meeting, voters said the session saw improvements in the National Assembly’s operation with candid, serious, and responsible discussions which focused on issues of voters' concerns.
They expected the National Assembly to continue to improve oversight of the implementation of the Assembly's resolutions and State affairs, strengthen inspection and audit to prevent corruption and negativity in investment activities, and increase investment in grassroots health care and preventive medicine to defeat COVID-19.
Appreciating the voters' recommendations, Party General Secretary Trong said that these opinions will be forwarded to relevant authorities to be dealt with.
In the face of surging COVID-19 cases, he requested that Hanoi authority and people effectively take disease prevention and control measures, focus on economic development, and maintain political security, social order and safety.
