President Nguyen Xuan Phuc has paid his Tet visit to the northern port city of Hai Phong. He presented gifts and extended his best New Year wishes to representatives of poor households, social beneficiaries and Agent Orange/Dioxin victims in the city on Wednesday. President Phuc extended his best wishes to the Party Organisation, administration, soldiers and people of Hai Phong. He underlined that the Party and State have directed relevant ministries, sectors and localities to pay greater attention social policy beneficiaries, poor households, poor workers and victims of Agent Orange/dioxin, thus ensuring that no one is left behind. The State leader asked the municipal authorities to make more efforts in providing housing support to workers, especially in areas with large number of industrial parks, export processing zones and seaports.

During his visit, the President visited VinFast automobile factory located in the city and extended New Year greetings to workers here. He praised Vingroup’s switching its investment to e-vehicles in line with world trends and called for more efforts in social advancement and responsibility.
