Russia, Turkey to strengthen energy cooperation

The Kremlin said in a statement that the Russian and Turkish Presidents, in a phone conversation on Sunday, focused on expanding bilateral cooperation in various fields. According to the statement, the two leaders acknowledged the record growth of two-way trade turnover while discussing joint energy projects and the need to establish a regional gas hub in Turkey to expedite Russia’s gas exports.

President Putin and President Erdogan also discussed the deal signed in Istanbul in July on exporting Ukrainian grain from Black Sea ports and supplying Russian agricultural products and fertilizers to global markets.
