Seal Ceremony held in Kiep Bac Temple

A Seal Opening and Delivering Ceremony was held on Sunday, the 16th day of the 8th lunar month, at Kiep Bac Temple in the northern province of Hai Duong. Kiep Bac Temple worships 13th century military genius and national hero Tran Quoc Tuan. Throughout the centuries Kiep Bac Temple has preserved his four bronze seals. This year, the Organizing Committee prepared 50,000 replica seals as souvenirs for visitors.

“I’m here with my family after 2 years of the COVID epidemic. I’m very happy to receive a seal today,” one festival attendee said.

“I’m proud and honored to be on guard duty and distribute these seals. I pray for peace and happiness for the nation and my family,” said another attendee.

The Kiep Bac Temple Seals are national treasures associated with Vietnam’s cultural and political history. The bestowing of seals is one of the most sacred rituals of the annual Con Son-Kiep Bac Autumn Festival.
