Switzerland donates 5.3 million USD medical supplies to Vietnam

An aid package of 13 tons of medical supplies worth 5.3 million USD from the Swiss Government arrived in Ho Chi Minh City on Friday.

The relief shipment included 30 ventilators, 500,000 antigen test kits, and 300,000 antibacterial masks.

It was a result of the visit to Vietnam by Swiss Vice President and Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis early this month.

During his visit, Mr. Cassis was briefed on the difficulties Vietnam is facing, and agreed that the two countries should share their COVID-19 prevention and control experience while pursuing economic recovery and strengthening bilateral health sector cooperation, particularly the transfer of production technology for COVID-19 vaccines and drugs.
