US Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Wednesday that the Biden administration intends to press ahead with its plan to reopen the Jerusalem consulate that traditionally engaged with Palestinians.

President Joe Biden once said he advocates the two-state solution and will restore ties with Palestine and reopen a consulate in Jerusalem.

But Blinken didn’t give details on when to reestablish it, a move believed to frustrate Israel, the US’s close ally in the Middle East.
