Vietjet increases flight frequency to meet year-end demand

Local low-cost carrier Vietjet is poised to increase the frequency of domestic flights starting Wednesday on routes connecting Hanoi – HCM City, Hanoi – Da Nang, and HCM City – Da Nang. The airline has devised plans to raise the number of flights to six round-trips per day on these routes as of December 15.

The budget carrier will also continue to operate the entire flight network connecting Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang to provinces and cities nationwide, including Vinh, Thanh Hoa, Phu Quoc, Da Lat, and Nha Trang, in an effort to meet the increasing demand among passengers for travel during the year-end period.

With regard to the recent restart of the international flight network, after the first flight bringing foreign passengers back to Phu Quoc, Vietjet has initiated plans to resume flights from the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Thailand, and Chinese Taipei to a number of Vietnam destinations on a trial basis.

It says it is ready to operate regular international flights as soon as it receives permission from the Government.

Most notably, Vietjet will provide COVID-19 rapid testing free of charge for all passengers flying from Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, with many attractive promotional schemes on offer during the year-end festive season.

The airline also encourages passengers to check-in online to avoid large gatherings at the airport.
