Vietnam and OECD discuss draft report on Vietnam’s economy

A draft report on Vietnam’s economy was discussed at a meeting at the headquarters of the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in Paris on Monday. It was sketched out within the framework of a memorandum of understanding until 2026 signed last November by the Vietnamese Government and the OECD.

Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Tran Quoc Phuong said the Vietnamese Government strongly supports the document, which was jointly developed by the ADB and the OECD.

The report focuses on maintaining macro-economic and social stability during economic recovery, improving the business environment and reforming the State’s business administration, revising regulations on digital transformation and green growth, and the OECD members’ experiences.

This is the OECD’s first report on Vietnam, said Phuong, noting that the report offers independent views and recommendations to Vietnamese policy makers.
