Vietnam, Egypt seek stronger trade, tourism cooperation

The Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt hosted a business forum on Tuesday on prospects to tighten cooperation in trade, culture, and tourism between the two countries. At the event in Hurghada city in Red Sea province, Vietnamese Ambassador to Egypt Tran Thanh Cong briefed representatives from 70 local companies on Vietnam’s overall economic picture and tourism in particular. He suggested Vietnam and Egypt cooperate in marine economy and tourism, and responded to questions about ways to access Vietnam’s goods and market.

Participants asked the Vietnamese Embassy and the Red Sea Chamber of Commerce to help local travel companies open representative offices, hotels, and restaurants in Vietnam. Egyptian businesses proposed launching new tourism products with Vietnamese partners and said they want to learn from Vietnam’s experience in tourism human resource training.
