– Since the first two cases of Covid-19 was detected in Vietnam 2 years ago, Vietnam has recorded a total of 2,263,053 infections, ranking 31st out of 225 countries and territories.
For the ratio of infections per million people, Vietnam ranks 144th out of 225 countries and territories. More than 2 million people have recovered from COVID-19.
The death toll rose to 37,668 on Monday, accounting for 1.7% of the total infections.
Vietnam has to date administered more than 181 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines, including over 74 million second jabs and almost 28 million third injections. Vietnam has set a target of completing 3rd injections for people above 18 years old in the first quarter of this year.
