The list of 500 most profitable enterprises in Vietnam this year was released on Thursday with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group, Samsung Electronics Thai Nguyen, and Hoa Phat Group in the top 5. They are followed by Viettel Group and Vietcombank in the list compiled by Vietnam Report JSC and VietNamNet online newspaper.

Contrary to concerns about a slowdown of the world’s economy, Vietnam is showing signs of strong recovery with many indicators already exceeding pre-pandemic levels, according to Vu Dang Vinh, General Director of Vietnam Report.

It is attributed to solid growth in exports of manufactured and processed industrial products to traditional markets. Total trade value in the past eight months reached nearly half a billion USD.

A survey of the most profitable enterprises in Vietnam conducted by Vietnam Report in August showed that more than two-thirds of the businesses said their revenue has returned or exceeded pre-pandemic levels.
