The Vietnamese Embassy in Egypt on Thursday hosted a celebration for Vietnam’s 76th National Day. Ambassador Tran Thanh Cong reviewed Vietnam’s construction and development since President Ho Chi Minh read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945. Ambassador Cong emphasized that Vietnam is always proud to have Egypt as a reliable, traditional friend in its struggle for national independence, reunification, and development. Their fine relationship in the past 58 years is evidenced by fruitful, comprehensive cooperation in multiple sectors, Cong said, adding that Vietnam and Egypt boast huge cooperation potential so bilateral trade is likely to hit 1 billion USD in the coming time.

International friends at the celebration applauded Vietnam’s positive development over years and its growing status in the world arena.
