Vietnam’s aviation sector prepares to resume domestic flights

The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam has sent an urgent document to aviation agencies, asking them to prepare for the resumption of domestic flights with highest COVID-19 prevention level. It required airports to review plans to serve passengers with aviation safety and security and COVID-19 prevention measures in place.

Airports have to arrange health declaration areas, scan passengers’ QR codes, organize COVID-19 quick tests, and have temporary isolation rooms. Ticket counter and boarding areas have to ensure safe distance among passnegers according to the Ministry of Health’s regulations. If airline staff or passengers are found to have symptoms of fever, cough, breathing difficulty, or fatigue, they should be isolated immediately and the local health authority should be called to handle, the document said.

Airlines have to send passengers’ information to the airport authority 30 minutes before departure time.
