Districts raise fund for COVID-19 fight

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the district People’s Committee Vo Dang Dung called on all officials, civil servants, employees and local residents to make contributions to the fund.

 

He urged agencies and ward-level People’s Committee to stay vigilant in the  combat of COVID-19 in the spirit of “fighting the pandemic like fighting the enemy”.

 

At the launching ceremony, agencies and units in the district donated VND 6.24 billion to the fund.

 

On June 7, officials, public servants and employees gave donations worth more than VND300 million to the COVID-19 combat fund.

 

  • Previously, Ba Dinh district held a ceremony to receive donations to COVID-19 vaccine fund.

 

At the event, the local authorities called for financial support from agencies, organizations, businesses and people to accelerate the purchase and administration  of COVID-19 vaccines.

 

Addressing the ceremony, Chairman of the district People’s Committee Ta Nam Chien highlighted the important role of the injection of COVID-19 vaccines, considering it a fundamental, long-term, strategic and decisive solution to get rid of the pandemic.

 

He called on all agencies, organizations and residents to join hands and make donations to the COVID-19 vaccine fund.

 

After the launching ceremony, the sum of over VND3.2 billion was collected to the fund.

 

  • A ceremony was also held by the authority of Quoc Oai district to receive donations to the COVID-19 fight.

In response the call by the Vietnam Fatherland Front’s Hanoi committee for donations to speed up the COVID-19 vaccination program, local organizations and people donated more than VND60 million to the COVID vacine fund.

 

Addressing the event, Chairman of the district People’s Committee Nguyen Truong Son lauded the joint efforts made by agencies, business and organizations in the fight against coronavirus.
