Fisherman with appendicitis saved by eastern Truong Sa archipelago clinic

A fisherman with acute appendicitis was saved by a surgery performed at the eastern Truong Sa archipelago clinic on March 10.

Ngo Van Tuu, 28, was fishing at sea when he showed symptoms of fatigue and stomach pain. He was taken to the clinic by fishing boat and diagnosed with appendicitis.

After an hour-long surgery, Tuu is now in stable condition and will remain on the island for follow-up observation and treatment.
