On August 11, 2022, Former Permanent Deputy Prime Minister – Truong Hoa Binh visited Phuoc Dong Industrial Park and Port, Can Duoc District, Long An Province.

Former Standing Deputy Prime Minister – Truong Hoa Binh highly appreciated the strength and development of the industrial park with the goal of sustainable development of green – clean – beautiful, accompanying with local social security activities.

On March 21, 2021, in Long An held the inauguration ceremony of Phuoc Dong Industrial Park and Port, invested by IMG Phuoc Dong Company. The industrial park has a total area of 128.8 hectares. In terms of waterways, this area has a length of more than 3 kilometers adjacent to the Vam Co river and a wharf in the future, which is expected to be able to receive ships up to 20,000 DWT. This is a transshipment port to dynamic western economic regions.

According to the investor of Phuoc Dong Industrial Park and Port, the Ministry of Transport has just sent an official dispatch to the People’s Committee of Long An province; Vietnam Maritime Administration; IMG Phuoc Dong Joint Stock Company on the addition of Phuoc Dong port in Phuoc Dong commune, Can Duoc district, Long An province to the Planning of the Southeast Seaport Group (Group 5).

Accordingly, in Decision No. 1579/QD-TTg dated September 22, 2021 of the Prime Minister approving the master plan for development of Vietnam’s seaport system in the period of 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, the area Vam Co wharf belongs to Long An seaport, including the area of land and water on Vam Co river, the section from downstream of My Loi bridge to the saltwater canal that directly serves the needs of the industrial park, has a wharf. general port, container, bulk cargo; Vessel sizes up to 20,000 tons are suitable for exploitation conditions of Vam Co river channel.

Currently, Phuoc Dong Industrial Park and Port has diversified products: industrial land for lease, ready-built factories, ready-built factories upon request, especially factories with flexible area from 800 m2 to meet all requirements. customer’s need.
