Hanoi Tourism Festival 2023: Connecting heritage for development

The Hanoi Tourism Festival themed "Connecting heritage to develop tourism" will take place from March 23 to 26, at the pedestrian zone of Hoan Kiem Lake.

A representative of the Hanoi People's Committee told a press conference on Friday that there will be 150 booths of 14 provinces and cities, together with nearly 100 businesses of 12 districts in Hanoi.

The Festival will promote tourist attractions including Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Old Quarter, Ba Vi National Park area, Soc Son, and Duong Lam-Son Tay areas. The tour connecting the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, Tay Yen Tu, and tourism of Co Loa Citadel will be a highlight.

Nguyen Thi Mai Anh, Deputy Director of Hanoi Center for Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion, said: “We choose the story that connects heritage to tell the story of culture. Tangible heritage is destination. This year we choose 10 typical destinations, such as the Imperial Citadel, a world heritage site. And the story of Imperial Citadel is the highlight. In this year's tourism festival, we include stories of the Hanoi’s Imperial Citadel and the heritage of other localities.”
