Launching online contest “Learning the provisions of the law related to the rights and obligations of overseas Vietnamese”

In order to practically respond to the Vietnam’s Law Day, and to the online contest “Learning the provisions of law related to the rights and obligations of Vietnamese people abroad”, under the direction of the Ministry of Justice, the Council for Coordination of Law Dissemination and Education of Hanoi launched  the online contest “Learning the provisions of the law related to the rights and obligations of overseas Vietnamese”.  

The Council for Coordination of Law Dissemination and Education of Hanoi has just sent Official Letter No. 2876/CV-HD dated October 24, 2022 to departments, divisions, branches, mass organizations, units, agencies, newspapers, radio stations, districts, towns on launching and participating in the online contest “Learning the provisions of law related to the rights and obligations of overseas Vietnamese”.

Accordingly, in order to practically respond to the Vietnam’s Law Day; innovate, diversify forms and increase the application of information technology in law dissemination and education, the Ministry of Justice has issued Plan No. 2338/KH-BTP on organizing the online contest “Learning the provisions of the law related to the rights and obligations of overseas Vietnamese.

In response to the Contest, the City Council for Law Dissemination and Education Coordinating Departments, agencies, unions, units, newspaper agencies, radio stations, district People’s Committees, the town are expected to mobilize, encourage and create conditions for officials, civil servants, public employees, workers and people in the area under their management to actively respond and participate in the contest; promote communication about the contest on newspapers, radio stations, portals/websites of agencies, units, localities or other appropriate forms.

The contest is held within 30 days, between 0:00 on October 25, 2022 and 24:00 on November 25, 2022 at https://moj.gov.vn/cuocthitructuyen with no geographical restriction for contestants being Vietnamese citizens and people of Vietnamese origin.

The exam content is the regulations on the rights and obligations of overseas Vietnamese and people of Vietnamese origin; legislation on residence, civil status, nationality, authentication; vote; exit and entry; land, housing; regulations on protection policies of the State of Vietnam for Vietnamese citizens abroad as well as policies of the State of Vietnam in favoring and attracting foreign investment into Vietnam in all fields.

To participate in the contest, participants directly access the contest’s website and provide complete and accurate personal information before entering the contest. The number of questions in a test is 20 (19 multiple-choice questions and 01 prediction of the number of people who correctly answer all the multiple-choice questions of the contest).

The maximum time for each test is 20 minutes. Contestants are allowed to participate up to 3 times. The Competition Organizing Committee will take the highest test results in the contestant’s times to calculate the prize.

The Competition Organizing Committee will determine the candidate’s points in order of priority: The person with the most correct answers; The person with the least amount of time to complete the test at the turn; The person with the earliest submission time in the exam; The person who correctly predicts the number of people who give the right answer to all the multiple-choice questions.
