Leaders of the Party, State and Hanoi pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh, heroes and martyrs

 On the occasion of the 2023 Lunar New Year, on January 19, a delegation of leaders, former leaders of the Party, State and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front laid wreaths and paid respects to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum, and offered incense at the Memorial of Heroes and Martyrs.  The delegation of leaders of the Party, State and Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front attended the ceremony, including Politburo members: Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue, Standing Committee of the Committee Secretary Vo Van Thuong; Acting President Vo Thi Anh Xuan; Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Do Van Chien.

Joining the delegation were former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; former State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc; former National Assembly Chairpersons: Nguyen Sinh Hung, Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan; members of the Politburo, secretaries of the Party Central Committee, former member of the Politburo, former secretaries of the Party Central Committee; comrades and leaders of central committees, ministries, branches and mass organizations; …

At the President Ho Chi Minh mausoleum, the leaders expressed their infinite gratitude and reverence to remember the great merits of President Ho Chi Minh for the cause of the struggle for national liberation, reunifying the country, building a peaceful, independent, unified Vietnam.

The delegation later laid wreaths and offered incense in memory of revolutionary predecessors and heroes and martyrs at Mai Dich Cemetery.

In a dignified atmosphere, the leaders expressed their tribute to the outstanding men and women of the nation who sacrificed their lives and bravely fought for the cause of the struggle for national liberation, independence, and freedom of the Fatherland, for the prosperous and happy life of the people.

* In the morning of the same day, the delegation of the City Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi, led by Dinh Tien Dung, Politburo member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the deputy delegation of National Assembly of Hanoi  paid tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum.

Before the heroic spirit of President Ho Chi Minh, the leaders of Hanoi vowed to uphold the tradition of solidarity, unity, to promote the development of Hanoi toward prosperity.

The delegation later laid a wreath at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs on Bac Son Street and Mai Dich Cemetery.
