500 athletes competed in the Quang Binh Discovery Marathon on Sunday, kicking off the 2022 tourist season in Quang Binh province, home to the famous world natural heritage site of Phong Nha-Ke Bang, just two days before Vietnam fully opens its door to foreign tourists. The race ran through magnificent sites of Phong Nha-Ke Bang National Park, including Botanical Garden, Tra Ang Bridge, Mooc Stream, Son River Suspension Bridge, Tram Me Wharf, and Xuan Son Wharf. Racers experienced the historical site of Hang Tam Co, 20 Quyet Thang street, Truong Son forest, and the most beautiful passage through the primeval forests with rocky cliffs.
The 2022 Quang Binh Discovery Marathon includes races of 42km, 21km, 10km and 6km.
