Military forces set up mobile oxygen production stations in HCM City

The Air Defence- Air Force Service under the Ministry of Defense established two mobile oxygen production stations on Tuesday at Military Hospital 175 to promptly meet the demand for oxygen in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the Air Defence- Air Force Service, each station has a daily capacity of filling up between 40 and 60 oxygen cylinders, with each one able to extract 40 litres at a pressure of 150 kg/cm2. Stations will consist of six staff members, including two drivers and four electricians.

Factory A41 of the Air Defence- Air Force Service will deploy three on-site liquid oxygen production lines with a capacity of approximately 4,300 oxygen cylinders in the southern city.

The factory presented 1,000 40-litre oxygen cylinders on August 18 to 12 field hospitals and COVID-19 treatment facilities in HCM City.

HCM City is currently the largest coronavirus hotspot in Vietnam, recording approximately 4,000 new cases daily. Its cumulative tally of infections has risen to more than 170,000, or more than half of the country’s total.
