NA Chairman meets President of Clark Development Corporation

-Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue received Agnes Devanadera, president of the Clark Development Corporation (CDC), on Friday in Manila as part of his official visit to the Philippines. The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the situation of the Special Zone, listen to the proposals of the Special Economic Zone and the delegation members to connect the two economies and attract more businesses to invest in areas where the two sides have strengths.

At the meeting, the National Assembly Chairman said that Vietnamese and Philippine businesses need to strengthen exchanges and investment promotion to match their potential and strengths.

Devanadera said she hopes to receive the sharing of policies and experiences from Vietnam for the development of the Zone.

Clark Special Zone was established in 1992 with the goal of transforming the Clark military base into an investment and trade attraction center for the Asia-Pacific region.

The Zone with a total planning area of more than 32,000 hectares has attracted such industries as information technology, high-tech industry, aviation, logistics and tourism.

It is 2 hours by car from Manila, the capital of the Philippines, and 3 hours by flight from Vietnam.
