North Korea has no interest in US talks

North Korea’s Foreign Minister Ri Son Gwon said Wednesday that his country is not considering a resumption of stalled nuclear talks with the US.

His statement came a day after Kim Yo Jong, a high-ranking official of the Korean Workers’ Party and sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, issued a statement that US expectations of talks would plunge them into a greater disappointment. Ri praised the statement, which he said brushed off the hasty judgment, conjecture, and expectation of the US. He said Pyongyang is not considering even the possibility of any contact with the US, let alone having it, which would get them nowhere.
