A working team led by Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee and Chairman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan on October 6 had a meeting with the Party Committee of Phuc Tho district on the implementation of Resolution No. 08-NQ/TU and Directive No. 09-CT/TU of the municipal Party Committee. The municipal Party Committee issued Resolution No. 08-NQ/TU on “Improving effectiveness and efficiency of compensation, support and resettlement for local people whose land is under compulsory acquisition for the 2016-2020 period and following years”, and Directive No. 09-CT/TU on “Strengthening the leadership of the Party organizations at all levels in granting certificates of land use rights and land-attached assets ownership in the city”.
Giving a report to the team, Chairman of the district People’s Committee Doan Trung Tuan said that after five-year implementation of the city’s documents, the local authorities have made positive changes in site clearance, land management and issuance of land-use rights certificates.
According to him, the district has completed site clearance for 66 projects, delivered compensation and resettled households affected by the infrastructure projects in democratic and transparent manner.
The local authorities have also paid special attention to dealing with complaints and denunciations related to site clearance and land-use rights certificates issuance.
Regarding the issuance of agricultural land certificates after land consolidation, Tuan told that by the end of 2016, the district had granted certificates of agricultural land use rights for nearly 40,000 households, meeting 100% of the plan. Land use right certificates had been handed over to more than 45,000 households, meeting 96.2% of the plan.
Concluding the session, Chairman of the municipal People’s Council Nguyen Ngoc Tuan praised the local administration for its effort in carrying out Resolution 08 and Directive 09.
He asked more effort from the local authorities to ramp up land clearance and issuance of land use rights certificates in the coming time.
Phuc Tho should also cooperate with relevant departments and branches to remove difficulties during the implementation of the tasks, he noted, urging the district to foster dialogue with people and settle their concerns.
