US aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan leaves Vietnam

Aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan left Da Nang on Friday concluding its visit to Vietnam on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the Vietnam-US comprehensive partnership. This is the 3rd visit by a US aircraft carrier to Vietnam since 2018.

Speaking before departure, Rear Admiral Patrick Hannifin, Commander of the Task Force (CTF) 70/Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 5, said the cultural exchanges, community projects and experiences in Da Nang have strengthened the links between the peoples of Vietnam and the US.

During their five-day visit to Vietnam, the task force of the aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan received more than 1,000 visitors and held seminars and parties on the aircraft carrier.

The US Ambassador to Vietnam and the leaders of the People’s Committee of Da Nang attended the events.
