Paris – At the recent exhibition of arts and handicrafts of the Francophone community, Vietnamese artists stood out, winning prestigious awards at the Francophone Economic Forum (FFA) held from November 24-26 in Paris. This achievement underscores the growing influence and recognition of Vietnamese art on the international stage.
According to Vietnam News Agency, painter Dang Canh and sculptor Jean-Pierre Vong were honored for their exceptional display of paintings and sculptures representing Vietnam. These awards highlight the artists' significant contributions and their role in enhancing Vietnam's cultural presence in the Francophone community.
Dang Canh, a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Fine Arts Association, has an impressive track record of solo exhibitions both in Vietnam and France. His works have been showcased in prominent cities like Versailles and Paris, and he gained international attention with his participation in the "Artistes du Monde" exhibition in Cannes.
Jean-Pierre Vong, a Vietnamese-born painter and sculptor, has made a mark in the French art scene. His active engagement in various art exhibitions and displays in France reflects his commitment to fostering cultural exchanges and promoting Vietnamese art abroad.
The event coincided with the 50th anniversary of Vietnam-France diplomatic ties, serving as a platform for cultural exchange and deepening the bilateral relationship. The success of Vietnamese artists at this forum not only celebrates their artistic achievements but also leaves a lasting impression on international audiences, further strengthening the cultural bond between Vietnam and France.
