APEC 2017 to create more added values for Vietnamese economy

The Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) 2017 will create added values for the Vietnamese economy when contracts and projects are signed, according to Vu Tien Loc, Chairman of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

At a press conference on Wednesday, Loc said VCCI will host the APEC Business Advisory Council's 3rd meeting in Canada and 4th meeting in Da Nang.

The meetings will promote regional integration; sustainable, innovative and inclusive growth; and greater competitiveness for micro-sized, small, and medium-sized enterprises.

Other priorities include encouraging digital innovation, ensuring food security, and promoting smart, sustainable agriculture that is adaptive to climate change.
