Arab coalition rules out truce extension in Yemen

The Saudi-led Arab coalition warned that a US-brokered ceasefire in Yemen will not be extended unless violations end.

The 48-hour-truce initiated by US Secretary of State John Kerry took effect at 12 o'clock on Saturday. Humanitarian aid will be delivered to combat areas.

Arab coalition spokesman Ahmed Assiri accused Houthi rebels of 180 violations of the truce in the first 10 hours after it took effect. The United Nations has reported that Yemen's 20-month war has killed more than 7,000 people and forced 3 million people to flee their home.
