“ASEAN People and Countries” exhibition opens

A photo exhibition entitled ASEAN people and countries opened on August 7 at the Hai Phong Fine Arts Centre to mark the 50thanniversary of ASEAN.

The event, as part of the celebration to mark the 50th anniversary of the founding of ASEAN (1967-2017), aims to enhance understanding and connectivity between countries and contribute to building a dynamic and developing ASEAN Community and a peaceful and prosperous region.

The exhibition showcase 230 photos of the 10 ASEAN member countries, which were taken by 1,248 photographers from the ten ASEAN countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Viet Nam.

The works displayed help the visitors gain a clear insight into the cultural and socioeconomic situation, as well as the exchange activities among ASEAN countries.

In addition, the exhibition is expected to strengthen the understanding and alignment of the bloc's members, contributing to the building of a dynamic and prosperous ASEAN community.
