Asia-Africa-Latin America solidarity committee reviews development

The Vietnam Committee for Asian - African - Latin America Solidarity and Cooperation held a seminar in Hanoi on Friday to review its development over the last six decades.

The event was also intended to mark 60 years since the organisation's establishment and the 50th founding anniversary of the Organization of Solidarity with the People of Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

The Vietnamese people wanted to take the opportunity to show their deep gratitude to people in Asia, Africa and Latin America for their solidarity with and great support for Vietnam over the last 50 years.

Former Vice State President Nguyen Thi Binh, former Chairwoman of the Vietnam Peace and Development Fund, said the two organisations would continue to make important contributions to the struggles of people across the world for peace, national independence, democracy and social progress.
