China imposes additional tariffs on US imports
China announced on Wednesday that it will impose a 25 % tariff on an additional 16 billion USD worth of imports from the US, including oil, steel, cars, and medical equipment.
The move, coming one day after the US announced a 25% tariff on additional Chinese products. The US had already levied a 25% tariff on 34 billion USD worth of Chinese goods on July 6. China is ready to slap a tariff on an additional 60 billion USD worth of American goods if the US proceeds with those tariffs.
