China unveils foreign policy for 2018

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi told reporters on Tuesday that next year, China will open a new chapter of win-win cooperation with other countries.

China will promote foreign policy outlined in the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China. The Minister said China will focus on organizing 4 major diplomatic events: the Boao Forum for Asia, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit, the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, and the China International Import Expo. Wang said China will put the development of China-US relations on a healthy track, maintain high-level strategic cooperation with Russia, consolidate China-EU relations, and build a framework of stable and balanced relations among world powers. China will deepen friendships with neighbors, and handle the Korean and Afghanistan issues through political means.
