Cuba announces public consultation on draft constitution
The Cuban media on Saturday published procedures of collecting and processing public opinions on the new draft constitution approved by the National Assembly on July 22.
The announcement said all opinions of Cubans inside and outside the country are examined to ensure a democratic consultation process with the participation of people. 4,000 will be involved in processing public comments.
On August 3, post offices nationwide began selling the 32-page draft constitution, as a prelude of the public consultation from August 13 to November 15. The National Assembly will hold a public poll on February 24, 2019, and vote on the new draft constitution at a session afterwards.
