Deputy Prime Minister calls on Dak Lak to develop coffee industry

Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh has called on Dak Lak province to improve its investment environment and encourage innovation and startup.

The Deputy PM was speaking at an investment promotion conference in Dak Lak on Sunday: The government will instruct ministries and sectors to fine-tune laws and administrative procedures to improve the investment and business environment and boost production. Ministries and sectors should adopt incentives for investors to invest in Dak Lak and reform institutions to remove obstacles facing investors. Power delegation should be done aggressively to advance Dak Lak.

On Saturday night, Deputy PM Binh opened the 7th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2019 in Dak Lak province. Themed Essence of mountains and forests, the festival promotes Buon Ma Thuot coffee brands to the world. Mr. Binh applauded Dak Lak for developing the local coffee industry and contributing to grater prestige of Vietnamese coffee. He called for measures to be taken to capitalize on achievements:The coffee industry should be developed in line with world market trend, ensure sustainable production conditions, combine preservation, processing, and consumption, attract private investment and re-cultivation of coffee. Technological application should be strengthened to increase productivity and quality, reduce prices, and adapt to climate change. Vietnamese high-quality coffee specialty should be encouraged to develop.
