European-Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival to begin next week

The European-Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival 2017 will open next week, presenting films from 10 European countries including Austria, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and Wallonia-Brussels (Belgium).

Held by the National Documentary and Scientific Film Studio and Hoa Sen University, the festival showcases the best contemporary documentary movies covering a diverse range of themes.

This is the eighth European-Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival, and the fourth time the festival is held in Ho Chi Minh City. It is one of a series of cultural festivals organized each year by the European Union National Institutes for Culture to promote better understanding between the people of Vietnam and Europe.
