Kuwait calls for unity in Gulf region

Kuwait's emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah called on Gulf Arab states to resolve their diplomatic dispute with Qatar.

He said all parties are responsible for maintaining regional unity, adding that the dispute must be resolved through dialogue.

Kuwait is making a great effort to defuse the tension, after Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and Bahrain cut diplomatic ties with Qatar and accused it of supporting terrorism and interfering in other countries' internal affairs. Qatar has strongly denied these accusations, saying that other countries are trying to interfere in its foreign policy.
