Lao PM hails development of Vietnam-Laos ties

Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith has said he is satisfied at the outcomes of all-around relations between Laos and Vietnam over the past years.

In an interview with Vientiane-based Vietnam News Agency, Prime Minister Sisoulith insisted that significant strides in bilateral ties in politics, defence-security, socio-economic development, and human resources development have brought the bilateral friendship and comprehensive cooperation into play. As a result the two economies and the living conditions of both peoples have much improved.

Mr. Sisoulith said 2017 is an important year for Vietnam and Laos as the two nations are celebrating the 55th anniversary of their diplomatic ties and the 40th anniversary of the signing of a bilateral Treaty of Amity and Cooperation.
