Malaysia voices concern over East Sea situation

Malaysian Foreign Minister Saifuddin Abdullah has expressed his concern about the increasing number of Chinese coastguard vessels in its territorial waters while the negotiations for the Code of Conduct (COC) with China is pending.

Referring to the East sea at the 20th ASEAN Political Security Community Council Meeting on Saturday, the Minister said the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs will establish a maritime research center and invite other ASEAN member countries to participate.
