Ninh Binh urged to become key national tourist hub

State President Tran Dai Quang has urged Ninh Binh province to fully tap its tourism advantages and reform its growth model to ensure productivity, quality and sustainability. Mr. Quang made the remark at a ceremony on Sunday to celebrate 25 years of Ninh Binh's re-establishment.

"Ninh Binh needs to diversify its tourism services, focusing on heritage tourism, ecotourism and wellness travel. It's essential to preserve the local landscape and historical and cultural relics, protect the environment, and enhance publicity and promotion programs to turn Ninh Binh into a key national tourism destination", He said.

President Tran Dai Quang called on local authorities to pay greater attention to education, training and social welfare. Ninh Binh was Vietnam's capital in the 10th and 11th century. It is home to several attractions including Cuc Phuong National Park, Bai Dinh-the largest pagoda complex in Southeast Asia, and Tam Coc-Bich Dong which was one of the shooting locations of the Hollywood blockbuster "Kong: Skull Island".
