The plan aims to stimulate the industrial and commercial development, creating a momentus for local economic development with an appropriate growth model and economic structure to promote strengths in natural resources and trade.

Accordingly, the industrial and trade sector will focus on extracting and processing several mineral resources while improving the capacity of processing facilities.

The plan also states investment in building material production and expansion of the market network along the shared borderlines and at border gates, particularly small-scale supermarkets and department stores in towns, districts’ centers and border gates.

In addition, businesses’ advertisements and marketing for exports will be supported.

To realize the plan, the MOIT suggests several key measures, including investment in infrastructural development, adjustments to ensure development space and avoid wasteful investment, and preferential policies to attract investment.
