PM chairs government meeting on socio-economic performance

Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc chaired a meeting of permanent government members in Hanoi on Tuesday to discuss Vietnam's recent socio-economic performance, State budget, and public investment.

Participants listened to a report on socio-economic performance and State budget this year, and a socio-economic development plan and State budget estimate for next year. All 12 targets for 2018 are expected to be met.

Participants gave opinions on the mid-term report on socio-economic development and State budget, a public investment plan until 2020, and the national finance-budget plan for the next 3 years.

Concluding the meeting, PM Phuc asked the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Finance, and the Government Office to collect suggestions and submit a report to the government at the next monthly meeting. He stressed the need to prepare documents for submission to the eighth conference of the Party Central Committee and the sixth National Assembly session.
