President Tran Dai Quang: Vietnam has potential for cooperation with AFP

President Tran Dai Quang has praised the AFP news agency for its cooperation with Vietnam since the agency set up its bureau in Vietnam 70 years ago.

At a meeting with Emmanuel Hoog, the President and CEO of the AFP news agency in Hanoi on Thursday, President Quang said Vietnam has a lot of opportunities to cooperate with the AFP in media. He asked the AFP to maintain its active operation in Vietnam and objectively report on Vietnam to help the world community better understand Vietnam and the growing Vietnam-France relationship. President Quang said boosting the Vietnam-France strategic partnership has always been a priority in Vietnam's foreign policy. Relevant Vietnamese agencies are ready to cooperate with the AFP and facilitate its operation in Vietnam. Mr. Emmanuel Hoog praised the development of Vietnamese press and said the AFP will continue to reform and modernize its media to accurately and promptly cover the situation in Vietnam and further promote Vietnam to the world.
