Qatar open to dialogue to resolve crisis

Qatar's Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani said on Tuesday that Qatar is willing to have a dialogue to resolve the crisis with neighboring countries in the Persian Gulf.

He said Qatar believes in the resolution of crisis through diplomatic means and wants to foster peace in the Middle East and wants to take part in the fight against terrorism.

Saudi Arabia and allies including Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain cut diplomatic ties and transportation links with Qatar on Monday, accusing Qatar of supporting extremism. The Gulf states and Egypt banned all flights to and from Qatar and ordered Qatari citizens to go home within 14 days.

Yemen and Maldives also cut their ties with Qatar on the same day.
