RoK, US meet before US-North Korea possible talks

Top envoys from the US and the Republic of Korea (RoK) met in Washington on Friday to coordinate the position ahead of the expected resumption of denuclearization talks between North Korea and the US.

Lee Do-hoon, RoK's Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs said he has carefully discussed with his US counterpart Stephen Biegun on how the two sides can work together with negotiations with North Korea likely to resume as early as this month. He added that both sides discussed to cooperate with Japan, China, and Russia to boost denuclearization on the Korean peninsula.
