UK helps VN implement WTO Facilitation Agreement

VGP – The UK will support the General Department of Viet Nam Customs to launch a project to implement the World Trade Organization (WTO) Facilitation Agreement in Viet Nam from October 2014 to March 2015.

The signing ceremony for the grant contract for the project was signed between the General Department of Viet Nam Customs and the British Embassy in Ha Noi on October 29.

The technical assistance project, worth £45,429, will support Vietnamese functional agencies in checking legal documents and organizing conferences to create commercial advantages.

The project is expected to bring benefits for Viet Nam to realize it commitments not only in the framework of the WTO but also other international agreements, said head of Prosperity of the British Embassy Andrew Holt.
